Owning a New File-Sharing Capability from Framing to Launch
Buyers and sellers work together in the Digital Sales Room, or DSR, to close deals. But files that aren’t part of the presentation, like an NDA, usually end up in emails. The DSR had no clear home for them.
As the main designer owning the DSR experience, I started by talking to internal sellers. They carefully curate the landing page and didn’t want files like an NDA cluttering it. Then I showed them buyer-experience prototypes, and they wanted something similar. That told me this was about a shared space for both sides, not just buyer uploads.
With the PM, we kept phase one simple by reusing existing patterns, with a 15-file limit and no folders. I shipped buyer upload and saw it live.
